Dubai (English pronunciation: /duːˈbaɪ/ doo-BYE; Arabic: دبيّ dubayy‎) is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located south of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula and has the largest population with the second-largest land territory by area of all the emirates, after Abu Dhabi.^[5] Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the only two emirates to have veto power over critical matters of national importance in the country’s legislature.^[6]

The earliest recorded mention of Dubai is in 1095, and the earliest settlement known as Dubai town dates from 1799. Dubai was formally established in the early 19th century by the Al Abu Falasa clan of Bani Yas, and it remained under clan control when the United Kingdom assumed the protection of Dubai in 1892. Its geographical location made it an important trading hub and by the beginning of the 20th century, it was an important port. In 1966, the year oil was discovered, Dubai and the emirate of Qatar set up a new monetary unit to replace the Gulf Rupee. The oil economy lead to a massive influx of foreign workers, quickly expanding the city by 300% and bringing in international oil interests. The modern emirate of Dubai was created after the UK left the area in 1971. At this time Dubai, together with Abu Dhabi and four other emirates, formed the United Arab Emirates. The following year Ras al Khaimah joined the federation while Qatar and Bahrain chose to remain independent nations. In 1973, the monetary union with Qatar was dissolved and the UAE Dirham introduced throughout the UAE. A free trade zone was built around the Jebel Ali port in 1979, allowing foreign companies unrestricted import of labour and export capital. The Gulf War of 1990 had a negative financial effect on the city, as depositors withdrew their money and traders withdrew their trade, but subsequently the city recovered in a changing political climate and thrived.

Today, Dubai has emerged as a global city and a business hub.^[7] Although Dubai’s economy was built on the oil industry, currently the emirate’s model of business, similar to that of Western countries, drives its economy, with the effect that its main revenues are now from tourism, real estate, and financial services.^[8][9][10] Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and sports events. This increased attention has highlighted labour rights and human rights issues concerning its largely South Asianworkforce.^[11] Dubai’s property market experienced a major deterioration in 2008 and 2009 as a result of the worldwide economic downturn following the Financial crisis of 2007–2010.^[12]

Due to the high amount of European tourism this winter season we are now looking for marketing/promotions personnel in both of our sales venues in Phuket.

We are looking for promotions/marketing personnel this winter season. People who are winners. The Winter High Season stretches from the beginning of October until the end of April, and if you like it, you can stay here all year around working for P.P.L.

Enjoy nightlife in Patong, the party capital of Thailand, see James Bond island, explore the caves of Phang Nga, go to the famous Full Moon Parties, swim at Maya Bay (from the blockbuster movie, THE BEACH, with Leonardo Di Caprio), visit Phi Phi Islands, see the F1 race in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (1 hour flights from Phuket), all that while working for P.P.L. and earning lots of money.

Job description:
Our job is in the marketing department of P.P.L. and we invite tourists for a holiday presentation at one of our venues in Phuket. There we will explain the benefits of our holiday system without any cost or obligation for the tourists. In appreciation of their time, the tourists are rewarded with free gifts, such as a free holiday for next year in Thailand, excursion tickets, cabaret tickets and dinner vouchers, t-shirts and caps.

We work Monday to Friday from 8.30 until 16.00 and your weekends are free.For this job, there is no experience needed – everyone will be given full training.

Payments:
You get paid for every couple (Client) who attends the holiday presentation for about 60 minutes. We are looking for British, Australian, American, Canadian, French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Italian and Finnish couples between the ages of 35 and 65 years.
You will be paid weekly on a Friday.

Housing:
Everyone who arrives in Phuket will receive 1 month free accommodation provided by P.P.L. You will get a luxury studio for you alone with cable Tv, aircon, hot and cold water, etc.
Afterwards we will help to find you your accommodation for the season, and normally everyone pays between 200 euro and 300 euro a month for a 1 bedroom apartment in Phuket.
Flight Reimbursement:
You will get 50% of your flight money back after 2 of your clients become members of P.P.L. with a maximum of 400 euros.
And another 50% after another 2 of your clients become members of P.P.L. with a maximum of 400 euros – in total 800 euros for your flight ticket.
Normally when you invite 7 couples for a presentation, 1 will become a member of P.P.L. directly, so most of our new staff will be reimbursed for the cost of their flight within a month of arriving.

Work permit and Visa:
Everyone will get a free work permit to work legally in Thailand, and we will help you to obtain a Non Immigrant B Visa to work in Thailand.
For Visa applications there are 2 options.

1) We will send you an Invitation letter to your home address in. With your Passport and this invitation letter you have to go to the Thai consulate or Thai Embassy, and they will give you a NON B Visa to work in Thailand.(remember your passport has to stay for 24 hours in the Thai Embassy) cost around 50 euro.
2) After arriving in Thailand, you go for a visa run to Penang, Malaysia (cost around 150 euro) and there you will get a non B Immigrant Visa.

Bank Account:
Everyone can get a Thai bank account with their work permit.

Thailand:
Remember, in Thailand there is a tropical climate, so drink lots of water daily, be careful with drinking alcohol in daytime, take it easy in the beginning.
Bring clothes solely for this climate, because the temperature is between 27 and 32 degrees in the winter season.
This is the land of the smiles, you have plenty of free time to go to the beaches, go for excursions etc and last year all our marketing personnel were earning more than 3500 euro a month.
Thailand is also very cheap to live. You can buy a Heineken for less then 1 euro, eat in a restaurant for about 1 euro, rent a scooter for 50 euro a month (bring your driving license with you) .Gasoline is about 75 euro cent a liter.

Tax:
Everyone who works for P.P.L. pays only 5 % tax.

Starting to work
If you decide to want to work for P.P.L. this winter and if accepted we need you to arrive anytime from the beginning of September 2010.
-Let us know 2 weeks in advance of your arrival date, due to your company housing, and your pick up from the airport, or when you have bought your flight ticket.
-Let us know which option you want for your non B visa. Option 1, minimum 3 weeks in advance due to the international post.
-Send us your passport copy by mail.
-Send us your CV in English.
After arriving in Thailand, you will have a 2 week holiday, because in those 2 weeks P.P.L. will apply for your work permit, and arrange all necessarily papers so you can work legally in Thailand. This means, take some extra money with you for the first 2 weeks.

500 THB Per Q tour all day

1 Q up before 13.00 and 1Q up After 13.00 gives both ups each 1000 THB, so an additional 500 THB each Q, in total 2000 THB spiff.

2 Q up before 13.00 and 2Q up After 13.00 gives all ups each 1000 THB, so in total 4000 THB spiff.

We can count CT before 13.00 as Q for spiff afternoon (But no spiff will be paid for Ct), so 1Ct before 13.00 and 1Q after 13.00 is for Q up 1000 THB spiff. (To keep motivation for second wave)
